All of life is a creative act.
My work slices through the masks we wear — the ones stitched by culture, stitched by desire, stitched by survival. Through painting, collage, and performance, I unravel and reconstruct identity, exploring the collisions between flesh, image, power, and gaze.
Pulling from fashion, mythology, and disposable culture, I fracture faces and bodies until something raw and essential emerges: a fluid self, constantly becoming. My figures seduce and defy, unravel and reassert. They exist in the charged space between being seen and seizing the right to see.
The erotic, to me, is a portal: a site of power, resistance, and transformation. I explore femininity not as an inevitability, but as an invention — a stage where muse and author battle for sovereignty.
Materially, my process is visceral — a dance of layering, scraping, reclaiming. Scale is a strategy: the work insists on being witnessed. It demands space. It makes the viewer choose between submission and confrontation.
At its core, my practice is about authorship — over body, image, myth, and self.
Not just visibility.
Dominion.
The paintings serve as a powerful conduit for her spiritual insights and personal growth. Her canvases breathe them. Through a blend of vivid colors, intricate symbolism, and ethereal strokes, she invites viewers to embark on an introspective journey, connecting with their innermost emotions and aspirations. With a soul-driven passion for self-expression and intuitive exploration, Alexis seeks to inspire others to embrace their innate artistic potential and reclaim their intuitive sovereignty.
